Trancoso Shopping

After the beach or a game of golf, Trancoso offers up a wonderful excursion for the serious or less serious shopper. Most of the shops in Trancoso are concentrated around the central square, O Quadrado. The area is filled with local arts and crafts and small outlets representing some of the finest fashion accessories in Brazil. Walk in to see and enjoy the many shops, some with surprising gardens or a little coffee bar in the back. Despite many new stores and recent reforms, the Quadrado has continued to retain its traditional, rustic, Trancoso style.

At night O Quadrado is lit by candlelight and the multi colored facades offer a magical backdrop to an evening of dining and shopping - or just an evening walk under the bright moonlight or the incredible stars. Many shopkeepers only open up during the afternoon, so don´t leave your shopping for the last morning.
