Bars
and restaurants:
In
the vila: Trancoso has lots of restaurants and
bars, concentrated in and near the Quadrado-area. Some
serve outstanding food in charming surroundings, while
others are pretty simple - and cheaper. Check out all
of them when strolling around the Quadrado and try them
out once you get hungry.

Nightlife:
Trancoso has many small bars and a few larger places
with all-night dancing in the center. Everything
from reggae to electronic music. During summer you
may encounter huge 3-4 days "festas" on
the beach with thousands of participants. World-renowned
parties. In low-season the night-life is slower
and more local - concentrated on the weekends. It
is the "bring-a-book" time of the year. |
On the beach: On some stretches of the
beach there are lively clusters of beach-restaurants,
serving seafood, appetizers and drinks. Other beachrestaurants
are more secluded and more laid back. Some of the pousadas
on the beach have service out front, but some are exclusive
for the guests. Making a reservation you can go for dinner
at the pousadas on the beach.
